2011 Toyota Optimist National Championships

Wakatere Boating Club's committee has passed a motion to waiver the entry fee for any Christchurch sailors attending the Nationals - this is one small gesture we can make following the earthquake experienced recently in their lovely city.

If you are from a Christchurch club and have already paid for your entry you'll receive a reimbursement at registration. If you've not already entered, please do so through Club Hub in the usual manner, but without making a payment.

Australia have entered a strong team of contenders for the New Zealand Toyota Optimist Nationals. Of the five entered, four competed at the 2010 Nationals held at Whitianga with a highest placing of seventh from Klaus Lorenz. Those entered are:

We also have entries from Tahiti in both the Open and Green fleets, plus places reserved for Cook Island sailors.
